Wildwood covers about 68 square miles of hills, ridges and creek valleys between the Missouri and Meramec rivers. On lots like these, driveways and patios settle where fill was placed and where water runs downhill under the slab. We lift that concrete back toward level with mudjacking.

Steep lots, erodible soil and limestone underneath give Wildwood its own kind of concrete problems.

Water follows the driveway downhill and works under the slab at the bottom, where it pools. Over time the lower panels drop and crack away from the ones above.

To get a flat yard on a slope, builders often push fill out past the natural grade. That fill keeps settling, and the patio on top tilts toward the low side.

Backfill next to the foundation settles for years. Front walks and stoops over that backfill pull away from the porch and leave a gap that lets more water in.

In neighborhoods like Cherry Hills, Westglen Farms and Babler Park Estates, the city's 2026 project replaces failed street and sidewalk slabs. Private driveways in those neighborhoods sit on the same ground and settle the same way.
These are the kinds of slabs we lift every week across St. Louis and St. Charles counties. The slab stays in place; we raise it and fill the empty space underneath.

A quick look at how lifting works on real slabs. The grout goes in through small holes, fills the empty space underneath, and raises the concrete back toward level.
We're part of Nick Gress Foundations and work all over west St. Louis County. We'll tell you straight if a slab can be lifted or if it's too far gone.

We drill a few small holes through the settled slab to reach the empty or soft spots underneath.

A cement-based grout is pumped under the slab. It fills the voids first, then slowly raises the concrete back toward level.

Once the slab is where it should be, we patch the holes and clean up. Most jobs are finished the same day.

Wildwood's own Master Plan describes the city as long, steep hillsides and narrow ridge tops with erodible surface soils over slowly permeable subsoil. It sits across nine watersheds between the Missouri and Meramec rivers, and it notes that the Caulks Creek watershed has suffered severe erosion.
Much of the area is underlain by limestone, and Missouri has more than 16,000 known sinkholes. The Missouri Department of Natural Resources notes that fill material and soils will settle over time, and Wildwood requires subdivision plans to show sinkholes and include soil and rock tests.
When water can't soak into the subsoil, it runs along the top of it and carries soil out from under driveways and patios. Mudjacking fills those voids and lifts the slab, and redirecting downspouts and surface water helps keep the void from coming back.

Nick and his family turned my highly uneven, and very large, concrete driveway and pad into an almost perfectly level sheet. It was amazing to see. Nick and his family were awesome to work with, the price was fair, and the results were amazing. I highly recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

Nick and his team were extremely punctual, hard working and completed the task on time. We had almost fifty feet of foundation cracks repaired as well as the driveway mudjacked. Would highly recommend for future work.Posted on Google![]()

I wrote a bad review earlier about bad communication. His family was very ill that is why he was slow to get back to me. I ended up hiring them for a large driveway leveling job and it turned out great. Great quality and great pricing. I have referred St. Louis Mud Jacking multiple times since my project and I will continue to use them on my properties. I wish there was a way to remove my old review but I wasn't able to. Great company!!!!
According to a City of Wildwood ordinance, the Department of Public Works maintains public sidewalks on the city's right-of-way. Contact the city about a public sidewalk. Your driveway, walks, steps and patio are yours, and that's where we can help.
Hillside lots often have fill pushed out to make flat ground, and the subsoil here drains slowly. Water runs along the top of that subsoil and washes soil out from under slabs, so concrete loses support from below.
Often, yes. We lift each settled panel back toward its neighbors so the driveway drains the way it should. If a panel is broken into many pieces, we'll tell you if replacement makes more sense.
Mudjacking fills voids under concrete slabs. An active sinkhole is a bigger geologic issue, and you should have it looked at before lifting the concrete over it. We'll tell you if what we see looks like more than a slab void.
